As the leading engineering school in France in terms of its volume of contract research, MINES ParisTech provides a significant research activity oriented towards industry. Its fields of research range from energetics to materials, applied mathematics, geosciences and economic and social sciences. MINES ParisTech is a founding member of ParisTech, which brings together 12 of the leading Parisian engineering and management schools. It is also a member of Paris Sciences et Lettres, PSL Research University which brings together 16 prestigious higher education and research institutions located in the heart of Paris.
